WHAT I WORE TODAY!

WOW are you as amazed as I am? Pretty simple outfit really but I decided to see if I could use the camera in my computer, its a mac so it has one built in and it kinda worked but all the natural light was from behind so I had to turn on the big fluro and yeah. Kinda worked though the lighting is crapola.

Welcome to my family room. I tried to make the light work for me but it really didn’t. You get the basic idea.

How long is my hair?! Major excitement. I got asked if I had extensions today. I decided to spin around to make it fly out, didn’t reeeeeally work. But it was fun.

and then I decided to tie my shoelace, and my sister called…

In these pics;
black long sleeved t sportsgirl
red jumper big w
grey cheap mondays
canvas lace ups k mart
scarf from shop near work
vintage belt

homemade/vintage jewellery
ps. how cool is the big ring, can’t really tell here its actually a button metallic red flecks, made it
myself, how crafty am I. I have 4 such rings now with more on the way, will show at some point.
pps. the writing on my left hand says chem pre lab, because I have to do mine. Funnily enough.
and the stamp says paid cause I went to a bbq today at uni and members got that stamp to get
FREE CHIPS AND BEER. But I couldn’t drink cause I had to drive. Sad. Oh well. Skipped 5.15pm
lecture today so hence the extra time to photo take in the middle of my house. Wheeeee.

UPDATE: I formatted this post properly and it looks nice in the editor bit, then I got check it and its all over the place but I can’t fix it easily so deal with it okay? OK. Oh and the sunnies are from a shop near my house and as far as I know don’t actually have a brand. All they say on the arms is ‘100% UV Protection’ [impossible? anyone? unsure] and on the other one, ‘8622F’. Not very helpful.

I Absolutely Have To Take Off My Nail Polish NOW.

No my names not Lola. Or Charlie for that matter*.

In other news while waiting for the bus today** this sweet bike was chained to the pole with the timetable on it you know the one. Yeah. And cause I had nothing better to do I took piccys on my phone, some were zoomed and some not so I’ve standardised the size [gotta love photoshop] but please forgive any blurriness.

How cool would it be to ride up to uni on this. If only I lived that close to uni/owned said bike/could be bothered cycling to uni when its as cold and, as you can see, wet as it was today.

* Apologies to those who’ve got no idea what I mean, get some Lauren Child books IMMEDIATELY. They’ve kids books but they’re great.
** waiting for a bus that NEVER CAME I was not amazingly early to work as I thought I would be because I had to catch a tram to the train and eugh.

UPDATE in the what I wore today saga I seem to have created, I CAN’T FIND MY CAMERA. NO SHIT. *tears*. Anyway, today I wore a top from topshop my sister got me overseas, jeans by seduce, a jacket by bardot and HIGHLY INAPPROPRIATE FOOTWEAR. It had yet to rain properly when I left my house. Peep toe flats made of material are NOT wet weather shoes, believe me.

Spot the Difference

Wittner’s thought process:
“Let’s see how similar we can make our shoes to the top designers without getting sued!”

This isn’t actually the one I was looking for, though I acutally quite like these. They’ve knocked off Chloe [I'm unsure about those] and well, I recognise them as Topshop not sure of the original origin LOL, how sad. I’ll get back to you. Moral of this story though; Pat Fields speaks, we listen.

And the movies not even out yet.

Intersting observation number ?

I’ve realised that several of the earlier blogs I ‘discovered’ no longer interest me as much. With a few exceptions of course but mostly I’m finding more blogs with whoms personal style I identify more and thus I enjoy reading them more. It’s come to the point where it seems the style is almost as important as the writing. Exceptions include Winona whom I read for the writing and Gala whom I also read because of the writing even though a lot of her posts now seem to be advice-centric and often make me feel slightly unwell.

I wonder if this is because my style is evolving or if it’s becoming more interesting. For instance a couple of the blogs I have bookmarked make me think why did I bookmark this? whenever I visit said blog. Thus I have several defunct bookmarks. But I did like them ONCE other wise I would’ve never bookmarked them. This is all rather confusing.

Another thing, the blogs I connect with fashion-wise tend to feature fashion that I am not personally able to wear. For example, Rumi and Camille are both stick like figures whose hem lines dazzle me. They both wear heels religiously, I rarely wear heels even when going out. I’m a jeans girl, neither of those two are. This is all very weird. A blog I find to be most entertaining perhaps, is Lulu’s because the writings great and the style is much closer to my own.

And now, because I’m sure it’d be challenging to express how little anyone reading this actually cares, I shall end this post before alientating any potential readers of this blog. There was one on a couple of different days last week… I got a little bit excited I must say.

So if you don’t come back, nice to meet you anyway. If you do though, I swear it’s not always like this. Really.

So long

GG, you will be missed!

*sigh*. What did everyone think of Serena’s yellow dress with the black accessories. I personally was most unsure about the hair choice. And I’m pretty sure that was wayyyy to fashion-y for a bridesmaids dress. But you know, whatever.
Oh and WHAT WAS VANESSA THINKING. The only thing that dress had going for it, was the colour. Overall, extremely unsure.
I won’t bore you with my opinions on the story line but suffice to say I sent my friend a message at the end saying WOW. However the next day I came to the conclusion they left a lot hanging for next season which is understandable, if slightly annoying.
Ok I’ll shut up now.

“I’m just an ass, in the crack, of humanity.”

Spicy yellow duck curry with rice in a roti wrap, followed by bread and butter pudding with raspberries, made with coconut bread. What more could you want for dinner? Ask my stomach and it’ll tell you, not much. Really, I don’t think anything else would fit.

God that made me sound fat.
******************************************************************************************
GUESS WHAT! Today, I really liked my outfit, and I mean A LOT. Which is something of a novelty these days. But did I take a piccy for yall? Nope. I think the moral of the story is, if I don’t do so before I leave the house, it’s just never going to happen. Today involved a thrifted cream skirt I just rediscovered, it has pockets(!!!) teamed with black and navy and wow, I’m getting excited just thinking about it. It was so good, I may recreate it in the near future and I PROMISE* I’ll document it for you if I do.

songs for sunday
Pick Me Up - Pete Murray [new single finally, there's an album to match!]
Ride Bikes With You - The Moldy Peaches [title is quote from this song. love it.]
The Doldrums - Josh Pyke [still not over it]
Rilo Kiley - Silver Lining
Heal Me - Lior
* ‘PROMISE’ is far more concrete than ‘promise’ seems to be I PROMISE

“It’s all about the computer these days. People might look at a picture of me and say, “Wow, I wish I had her body”, but they should realise that I often look at a picture of myself and say, “Wow, I wish I had my body.” ” - Coco Rocha.

Ok so I know chances are anyone who actually reads this also reads fashionista* but this was just too good not to reproduce in my own little slice of cyber space. As first you may think, what a ****tard but then the clouds separate and we can thank god at least one model doesn’t fit the stereotype.

Are you saying your NOT a cannibal?

Today I rushed out the door thinking I should take a pic of my outfit when I get home, it’s quite blog worthy. Didn’t happen. I got home and I barely remember the next few hours. I know there was a couch, Gilmore Girls and tracksuit pants. At some point I managed to make a large coffee. There was lots of foam, thanks to the fantabulous coffee machine* my mum gave my dad for his 60th. This level of tiredness is unexplainable other than the fact its rather common [in steph land that is]. It also leads to a level of delirium that leads me to say some very bizarre things, often over msn. see: title. Yes I said that to my friend. I think he’s going to have me committed.

So the upshot today is I wore my cute Valleygirl dress and yet AGAIN did not document it for you all. I wore a dress to uni, but I have no proof. My friends probably thought they were hallucinating, I’ll rock up in jeans tomorrow so as not to cause any major confusion. I even wore a bangle stack today. I haven’t managed that in awhile. 3 bangles!!! Forgot my rings though, and no necklace. BUT I wore earrings for the first time in awhile, I have the most un-cooperative earlobes ever. Yes I’m aware how weird that sentence sounded and no I don’t care.
Oh wow, just realised I totally forgot to fill you all** in on my haircut. My fringe is now asymmetrical. I think I prefer it long and poofy still but its a nice change. I did do it today but I’m totally not in the mood to try and take a good photo of myself and I’ve already pinned it back but I’ll do so at the next opportunity I promise. Ok so the chances of anyone reading this much of my drivel are pretty low, so catch you next time. Or you know, whatever. Nice to meet you anyway.
*It’s possible this coffee machine will prevent me leaving home when I might have otherwise due to the pure joy it can deliver.
**I said all again. Haha. I kill me.

Ponder…

Superficial I know…

As soon as I saw the tv ads for the Burberry perfume The Beat I knew I had to smell it. I just had a hunch. I like the ad which means it appealed to my style so therefore maybe the perfume would too? Something about Aggy dancing her arse off to the Fratellis caught my attention. I don’t know, but, was at Chadstone on a mothers day mission and almost walked past perfume connection but then I walked in and HOW RIGHT WAS I. It’s great. It is, granted, somewhat similar to my current perfume [CK IN2U] but still. I want. $95 for 50mL though. Ouch. Duty free on NZ trip? Maybe, still probably won’t be able to afford it. *sigh*
