I WIsh…

…life was like a Stevie Wonder song. But apart from that… I would like your opinion… just realised this is a really pointless post. But anyway. Scooter S/S 08 have arrived instore and I’m in love. They have these little lace up brogues that come in black/black patent leather or white/black patent. The all black is much less ka-pow and much less cool, though still the bomb. Scooter, for some bizarre reason don’t display their collection online [what the?] but I visited my old friend Google and came up with this:

These are mens shoes, as brogues are want to be, though they’re very big now for women too, the scooter ones were less solid shoes, completely flat the sole was thin and flexible. I’m also fairly sure the laces white as well. The all black are perhaps safer and the two tones are almost… i think the word is tacky looking. You know how shoes from Scooter can look. Also RRP for $109.95 so I think I’ll think about it for a bit, see if its one of those trends people start wearing cause they think they should or whether it can withstand the masses.

On another note, has anyone checked out the new line in Sportsgirl?! As is to be expected with such a store, some of it is fab, and some of its NOT. The 70s western style shirt trend is alive and well here, but again I’ll wait to see if it shows up on every second 16 year old cause I’d hate to buy one and never be able to wear it again. Undecided However, if I see anyone wearing that faux fur vest I may die. And not from happiness. *Shudder*

Alrighty well, on this cold and rainy day [did I mention I live in Melbourne, Australia?], I shall be off to do something…else. I cannot believe how cold it is, we have another whole month of summer and on my way home this morning I used the heater in my car FOR THE FIRST TIME. EVER. I’ve only had my license for just under a month so its not really surprising but still. A milestone.

I really am going now.

Don’t Fall Over.

Two posts in one week, trust me, you’re not as shocked as I am. Again extremely tired, so don’t expect any blogging genius, do expect spelling/grammar mistakes.

New favourite nail polish, pity it’s not mine. Bonus it’s my sisters and she’s in New York. Woo hew! It’s this awesome orange with a pearl finish and just the right amount of pink in it, usually I’m a super shiny solid finish kinda girl but I’m slowly being converted. A make-up shop has started popping up all around Melbourne, don’t know if its anywhere else, its in the same sort of family of MAC or Napoleon but slightly cheaper. Cha ching!! I also have the navy and the dark purple which is sweet as pie! The other products there are good too, the eyeshadows feel really nice and are easy to use, I also recommend the bronzer.

IN THE ORIGINAL POST I FORGOT TO TELL YOU THE NAME OF THE MAKE UP BRAND. I’M AN IDIOT. IT’S INGLOT. BAD NAME, GREAT PRODUCT.

Talking about nail polish reminds me of a recent magazine I read. Nail polish trends. Sorry, what? Its a coloured paint that goes on the end of your fingers that you can change as often as you change your underwear. Who cares what colour it is!!! The colour of ‘07 was of course, black, Chanel’s Black Satin sold out everywhere etc etc etc. Personally I refuse to spend $50 on a nail polish. The colour of ‘08 is apparently navy though I’ve been wearing this for awhile cause you know I’m like, so high fashion! People need to find something better to trend predict about cause if someone wears fluro yellow nail polish, chances are they won’t be wearing it tomorrow. And they’re probably a douche but thats a whole other kettle of fish.

If its a good colour and it ain’t chipped, wear whatever the hell you want today, cause you can always change it tomorrow. [And not many people will remember what it was yesterday]

I am a Bad Bad Blogger.

I’m actually just terrible at maintaining regular posts, I’m well aware. My life, like my hair, has become unmanageable. Thats totally untrue but when I wrote my life it brought to mind one of my favourite Will & Grace quotes ever and I thought I’d go with it. Well, its not wholly untrue, just a slight exaggeration. I’ve been working every day at the Australian Open which is awesome if time consuming. If I’m working arvo I sleep till 1 to start at 3 then come home and go to bed. If I’m working morning I get up at 7 to start at 9 and go out at night. It’s fun, tiring, ridiculous, thoroughly enjoyable and extremely painful. And it leaves no time for blogging. I have done a string of morning shifts and had a few late nights so I’m home for the evening, looking forward to a sleep in before an arvo shift tomorrow, which I was supposed to have off. RUDE.

The night of Monday the 14th brought with it the advance issue of the newspaper holding the futures of the Class of 2007 to the city of melbourne and with it, my university offer from the University of Melbourne of a Bachelor of Science. First preference, first round. Cha ching. Need to finish my enrolment stuff on the internet actually, might do that now.

Am watching a marathon match between Roger Federe and Janko Tisparevic which should’ve ended ages ago, the night session should’ve started at 7:30. And its going to a 5th set cause Roger was @ sets to 1 down but just won the 4th 6 games to 1. Whose playing in the night session you ask? Venus Williams vs Marion Bartoli which could go to 3, maybe and followed by Marcos Baghdatis vs Lleyton Hewit which is bound to go for awhile. Did I mention its 8:15? Should be interesting. Am to tired to write full sentences so I might stop writing now.

The No-name blog.

nb: in all seriousness, the original of this post had no title. oops.

As I clicked on ‘new post’ on the home page of my blog.com account, colloquial name: dashboard, I was pondering the title of this blog. I then came to the very basic conclusion that the name of the blog will probably depend on what was in the blog in the first place. Revolutionary, I know. As I have gone through my daily blog trot I have come across several new years resolutions posts, a couple of “I’m on holidays” posts and one or two fashion of 2008 themed ones I decided to come here, to my own blog and create a post of my own. Not with any specific agenda in mind, just to post something. Now to fulfill that I could have just written the word ’something’ and left it at that, but wheres the entertainment value in that. Not for you though, the non existant reader of this blog, but for me, the girl who made this blog during some deep dark stage of my life when studying was my middle name and the computer was my saviour.

I’ve never been one for diary entries including a blow-by-blow account of my daily deeds, partially because, to be honest, my life isn’t really that interesting. This is possibly because, the last time I actually tried to write a diary blogs weren’t even around ie. it was ages ago and I was very young and thus had no life. Maybe I’ll turn this blog into a diary entry.

*Slaps head* what a royally stupid idea. I may be able to write one cause I did actually do stuff today but it wouldn’t be much fun for me, cause I already lived it, and no fun at all for you.

Maybe I’ll give you a few links to entertain you since I’m sure I’m inadequet:

iCing - I think, in fact, I know that I’ve linked this blog before but this is one of the first blogs I actually started reading on a regular basis. Though she does have a tendancy to be a little bit…can’t find the word…eg. she writes post on how to be charming and how to make a new years resolution which is a bit naff, but I often enjoy a read of her blogs which are updated on an almost daily basis. Bonus.

Fashion Verbatim - So witty, so concise, so entertaining, if only it lasted longer. Excellent.

WhoWhatWearDaily - The only bad thing about it is its so NOT daily, though maybe the time zones are playing tricks on me, it’s a bit of celebufashion fun.

Also, some recent finds: Fashionista, Fashion is Spinach, I am Fashion, Faking Good Bredding and Daddy Likey.

After all that hyperlinking, I’m over this post. As, I’m sure, are you. Nice to meet you anyway.
