Whoa.

My life is such a whirlwind at the moment, even when I’m doing nothing the time flies. I sit down and I’m so tired I can barely be bothered to watch tv, let alone post a blog. Now, because I love all things fashion, I’m going to wax lyrical about the stuff I bought today from one of my favourite shops.

What is this shop of which I speak? The one, the only, Savers!! A one stop op shop for all things vintage, I think people are a bit ridiculous with their op shopping. Fellow Melbournians may be familiar with shops like Route 66 and Shag who stock fab vintage stuff and sell if for more than most non-vintage stuff. Chances are its second hand, so why pay that much? Some things have been restored, deconstructed, altered etc etc and that I get, but really, theres a limit. However, I do love a browse in Shag though I usually limit myself to window shopping to avoid temptation. I’ve also heard of a shop in countless magazines and even blogs in Sydney called Grandma Takes A Trip which sells restored vintage clothes. Granted they are often designer but still sell for ridiculous amounts of money. The stuff may be pretty but give me a trip to Savers anyday. Today I spent a grand total of $21.95 and I bought 2 skirts [high-waisted] 1 shirt and 2 scarves, one long and thin, one square. I am rather chuffed with these purchases as you may be able to guess. My favourite pair of shorts also originated from Savers as did one of my preferred dresses. Some of the original brands of these items may surprise, the shorts are Esprit, the dress Target.

Thats what I love about Savers, the possibilities. A perfect place to find an outfit for a Retro themed event, or your next night out. Also, a one stop shop for bags belts scarves skirts dresses tops and, for the brave, shoes. My absolutely most favouritest bag ever is from Savers. It cost $8. Beautiful.

In other news, I passed my hazard perception test if I hadn’t already mentioned that, had a great xmas with family [helloooo iPod Touch!!] found a new favourite jewellery store at Chadstone during the Boxing Day sales and have generally had shitloads of fun with friends. I quit my job at the bakery yesterday for real and will begin working for my parents properly at the bookshops in February after finishing at the Australian Open. Life, in short, is sweet. Hope yours is too.

PS. Just read the previous post and thought I’d update the non-existant return readers of this blog; I didn’t go to the all-nighter and haven’t slept quite that long since then, though I did manage to sleep in for work. Not that unusual, just that my shift started at 3. PM. Oops. And the ENTER score thing worked out fine, 92.25, perfectly respectable, should be able to follow through with my first university preference, Science at Melbourne Uni if anyone was wondering, studying Psychology/Sociology. Au revoir.

The Girl Who Sleeps For 15 Hours

It’s me, in case that wasn’t clear. I got up at 4 o’clock. PM! Ridiculous, I can fob it off with the explaination I’m getting sick which is true, but the fact that I’ve done it before while perfectly healthy put holes in that argument.

Aaaand while on msn today one of my friends told me that some of the girls are going to a 24 hour pancake parlour and pulling an all nighter later this week to which I said “I might be up for that.” Ironic much? My stupidness astounds even me sometimes. But life is for living, why waste it in bed?

Tomorrow I get my VCE results, 7am. A 3 or 4 digit number which basically is all I have to show for 14 years of private school education. Quite apart from the fucked concept of it, I just really want it to be O.V.E.R. So, This post is going to end here because I seem incapable of thinking about anything apart from my potentially ruined or made future.

So that was melodramatic and I don’t actually believe that but thats kind of what we’re supposed to think. Fight the establishment people.

DId you miss me?

Of course not because you, for all intents and purposes, do not exist. At least not in a tangible form, one which could read and reply to this post. However, for the non-existent regular of this blog of which there were none and certainly are none now, I shall enlighten you as to the reason for my somewhat prolonged absence these last few weeks.

The most explainable is from the 1st to the 8th of December I was not sleeping enough, watching several sunrises, experimenting with midori and frangelico [though not together] and generally having a shitload of fun. Oh, and I was in Torquay with no computer. Probably could’ve opened with that. This week of galivanting and frolicking [two words I am now making an endeavour to use more frequently] is commonly known as Schoolies, the school leavers excuse to get completely shitfaced, a right of passage if you will. Enjoyed by many, survived by most, I had, for the most part, a great time. Since returning on Saturday, I’ve not yet caught up on which day of the week it is, am yet to catch up on sleep and still have a remarkably scratchy throat, I’m fairly sure I’m getting a cold. Hence I haven’t posted since I got back either.

Either its that, or I just have nothing to say.

Any earlier lack of posting was probably due to my fabulously busy life that just doesn’t stop [ha. haha.]. Though I did have a very big week after finishing exams, it was so long ago im not sure I can be bothered to delve that far into the past.

Definitely can’t be bothered.

In news now though, successfully got into a club underage [but shhh], passed my hazard perception test WOO, bought a new scarf, skirt and t-shirt and that was all in one day. Monday. I slept until 3:05pm yesterday and did I mention I was meant to start work at 3? Mmm fantastic stuff.

So now that I have successfully bored you with my babbling, my valued if non-existent readers, I must be off to shower and make a salad. Order unspecified.

Nice to meet you anyway.
