boo

just you know, swinging by to show off my new ruched leggings. I do not condone the whole leggings-as-pants thing, but if your arse is covered there a handy medium between jeans and tights. Cause I’m way to poor to get black rats by sass n bide I picked these up for 40 large [still more than I would've like, such a cheapskate these days].

NEW BAG WOO. Yes those are zips.

Oh and yeah its that dress AGAIN, I’ll explain the problem I have with my wardrobe at some point.

Go ruching. I didn’t step on these all day, was just in a rush and hadnt put them on properly. Cya kids.

help!

This post is NOT ABOUT THE BEATLES. It’s about me not wanting to choose subjects for next year. Don’t make me do it! Please!

Outfit from sometime, wearing some shit…

F*** it all man! This outfit isn’t ‘chic’ enough. Whatever, I like it.

Uuuuum

So I know the fact that I know about this is pretty baaaaaaad I know but:

Kourtney Kardashian says:
“There’s no tension, we’re just not talking to Kim!”

L.O.FUCKING.L. These people are so far from anything I can relate to its amazing, and I guess that’s why it makes such good television. Something you should know about me is I watch horrible reality tv waaaaaaaay too much. It’s a problem. Acceptance is the first step I know, but it’s deep and its real.*shrug*

So no outfit pic. boo hoo. Look at Taylor Momsen instead. Questionable  facial expression, awesome cardigan. In other news, getting sick and tired and  heading towards exams so I probably shouldn’t be posting much which means  I’ll probably be posting more. ciao.

I’m a soldier…

but I don’t know how to fight
I’m your best friend
but I’m scared to see you
tonight.

Aside from being InSANELY Hot [hello genetics, they're bro and sis], they make some of my most favourite music ever. Serene, melodical, beautiful, a little bit weird in a totally awesome way it can calm you down, cruise with you and give you something to sing along to.. A Book Like This - Angus and Julia Stone. Listen to it, you can thank me later.

Things I’m grateful for:

- New Kings of Leon CD. Thank god for friends who actually buy music.
- this editorial [i haven't seen it in real life, thank god for blogs such as camille's!] My sister would DIE, and I mean DIE for that yellow rose ring. There’s something indescribable about it but these sorts of things are what make me love fashion more and more every day.
- Weather that makes me smile. Just don’t let me get sunburnt, or too hot. Not a summer fan, but spring rocks my world.
- blog views. despite the deeply self indulgent nature of this blog, knowing that theres a chance other people are reading this makes me smile.
- assignments with a 2000 word equivalent. Fkn. A.
- new stuff. vintage finds coming soon

Things I’m not grateful for:

- Having my wallet stolen for the second time in 2 months, but this time it didn’t have any money in it. Just a necklace with two 18th gifts on it including a tiffany ring all my friends got together to buy me. Almost cried.
- Friends who put in no effort but are awesome and fun when we’re together
- Friends who are selfish and think the world revolves around them and need to grow up. [These 2 are about different people]
- Chemistry. Nuff said.

Other things I’m happy about:

- this blog letting me say whatever the hell I want to say with no repercussions in my non-virtual life.
- this outfit:

dress/top by mink pink
jumper dress by target, from savers
vintage belt and sunnies
bag by red berry
shoes from topshop.com [now available in purple *gulp*]

Adventures in the Life of a Book Retail Assistant

It’s 5:57.

Closing 6:00pm.
A woman just tried to engage me in a conversation about The Costello Memoirs*. No thanks.
It’s still really quite bright outside.
Cheers Daylight Savings, you make my life that much more confusing for about one week, twice a year.

* Peter Costello, former deputy leader of parliament, then the opposition, who was vying for the top job for ages, then when it was available, said he didn’t want it. He wrote a book. Yippee.

s is…

a) really cold
b) quite tired
c) not enjoying being back at uni
and
d) deciding if her chemistry practical demonstrator looked better before he cut his hair, or now.

These are deep and extremely important observations and insights into my life and psyche. Feel honoured to be sharing in them.

So this outfit cost me about $65.
The shoes, were a gift from my sister.
The belt and bag are both from op shops, my guess would be Savers, and the bag is technically, my sisters, therefore, also free.
The top/dress [unsure lengthwise, though in summer it will probably be ok] and the pants were $30 each!!!

My excitement knows no bounds.

Mostly because the pants were $140 full price. And I love them.
Perhaps not the most flattering pants I could own, as you would’ve seen in the other photo I have which wouldn’t upload. But just think of that as something to look forward to. Cause its 12.24am and well past my bedtime I’m telling you!

blog.com formatter go die, it got so much better recently, new bells and whistles, but it remains that my posts look Nothing Like What They Look Like In The Editor. Which in my opinion, is a BIT OF A FLAW. Maybe I should change background or something, variety is the spice of life after all.

For interested parties, I think the answer to d is before, but all is well, hair grows back.
